2nd Quarter Reflection

Image
For me, I slowly got used to this modular learning but then there are still some problems that I encountered during this quarter, there are still some aspects that I need to improve on , and there are things that I need to further examine, and enhance. I learned many topics from our different subjects. I broaden my knowledge on certain areas with the use of these modules and help from other resources.   The problems that I mainly encountered were the amount of work that is needed to be done. If you are going to ask me, this second quarter is a lot harder than the first quarter because of the piles of works and projects that were assigned for us to fully finish, As a matter of fact, some subjects have been more difficult and more confusing to answer because of the lack of concept notes and the lack of presence of our teachers. We were given plenty of assignments to do but were only given a short amount of time which led some of us, including myself, to study and answer t...

This February of 2021, we got to experience again Valentine’s Day- the day of love. The day wherein love is in the air, wherein we get to celebrate love, romance, and affection. To know more about the said holiday, let’s try and dissect the history of it for us to further understand the concept of this day. This year’s celebration is very different to what we were used to before we usually went out to different places with our loved ones and would give and present each other presents and gifts but now we are not even allowed to travel and go out since we are in a middle of a pandemic, and with the government’s response to this virus, the number of infected citizens is still increasing because of this, we are only advised to have very limited interaction with the people that we love and would want to celebrate Valentine’s Day with since we should need to follow certain health protocols to lessen the spread of the Corona Virus. Even though we may not get to feel Valentine’s Day be...

Unlike previous years when the Kannawidan Festival is being celebrated for at least a month, this year, it will only run for a week starting Friday, January 29 until February 5. It has various events and competitions throughout the period, these include traditional tribal rituals, choir, and glee club competition, marching band contest, traditional music ensemble, dance drama, traditional and folk dances, contemporary dance competition, and street dancing showdown. The festival is a creative way for Ilocos Sur to introduce non-locals the beauty and creativity of each city comprising the province. Due to COVID-19, The festival limited the contests that will be held in order to follow health protocol...

The Viva Vigan Festival of Arts is celebrated during the first week of the month of May. For the past sixteen years, the festival of arts has been successful in drumming up attention for Vigan’s ancestral houses. With the help of national and local agencies, as well as media, arts and non-governmental supporters, the festival has also succeeded in promoting other aspects of Vigan.  The Vigan City Fiesta usually lasts for several days. It includes within the period of the celebration of the anniversary of the cityhood of Vigan, which is commemorated every January 27. Keep in mind that we are celebrating 2 decades of the cityhood of Vigan. Every year we celebrate these kinds of events to promote the products,  and beauty of Vigan but because of the pandemic that we are currently facing, we weren’t able to fully enjoy and experience the celebration this year.  Some barangays were in a lockdown which led them to only stay at their home and only go out if needed. We wer...
